Merrill Police Department Calls for Service

October 27
At 7:40 p.m., an officer responded to a local restaurant for a report of an employee fighting with their coworkers. The suspect pushed an employee into the wall and slapped the hat off of another employee before leaving the establishment. The suspect was identified but not located. The suspect is facing potential charges of disorderly conduct and battery.

October 28
At 6:46 p.m., officers responded to a residence to take two male parties into custody on probation violations. They were taken into custody and transported to the jail.

October 29
At 10:26 p.m., officers responded to a residence to attempt contact with a male party who had a warrant for his arrest through Probation and Parole. The male party was taken into custody and was transported to the jail.

October 31
At 6:17 a.m., an officer took a report of a vehicle that had its tires slashed overnight. The investigation is ongoing.

November 1
At 10:23 a.m., officers responded to the office of probation and parole to take a male party into custody for a probation violation. He was transported to the jail.

November 2
At 1:08 p.m., an officer responded to a vandalism complaint. A park bathroom had been vandalized. Investigation is ongoing.

November 3
At 1:42 a.m., officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash. The driver that failed to yield the right of way displayed signs of intoxication and was placed through field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was cited for Operating while Intoxicated, 1st offense, failure to yield right of way, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

At 8:00 p.m., an officer responded to a theft complaint. The caller advised someone stole a license plate off of their vehicle.
