On Monday at 6 p.m. a 911 caller reported a car fire at an address on Carpenter Rd. The fire was contained to the vehicle and no structures were threatened.
A 39-year old Tomahawk man was arrested Monday evening on a warrant charge for contempt of court.
A 54 year old Tomahawk man was injured after a single vehicle crash Tuesday morning in the Town of Bradley. The man was traveling on County Rd S near US Hwy 51 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
A 38 year old Gleason man was arrested Thursday afternoon on a disorderly conduct charge.
The Recreation Deputy is conducting focused patrols on county roads and trails and is reminding drivers that mud running on county land or trespassing on private land can be costly. Last week the Rec. Deputy made contact with drivers from Merrill, Wausau and Rhinelander who were driving on county roads or trails with trucks causing damage. In each case, the damage will be assessed by the County Forestry Department who may request restitution for the damage done to county land, trails or roads.
Several grass fires were reported last week throughout Lincoln County. On Friday afternoon around 3:20 p.m., a fire was reported on County Rd H in the Town of Birch. At 4:33 a 911 call reported a fire in the Town of Harrison on Keg Rd. At 7:15 p.m. another grass fire was reported on Phalzgraff Rd in the Town of Bradley. None of the fires threatened any structures.
One person was injured and a second arrested after deputies responded to a report of a fight at Lincoln Hills School in the Town of Birch. At 2:40 p.m. a 911 call from the institution reported the incident which involved numerous people in the visitor area. A 47-year old Racine woman was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and a 22-year old Wisconsin Rapids woman was transported to Ascension Good Samaritan Health Center for treatment of minor injuries. Deputies along with Merrill and Tomahawk Police Officers responded to the call.
A 19-year old Merrill woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping Saturday evening after deputies responded to a disturbance in the Town of Harding.
A 55-year old Rhinelander man was arrested Sunday morning on two counts each of battery, intimidation of a victim, false imprisonment and strangulation/suffocation. Deputies responded to a home in the Town of Harrison after a disturbance was reported.
Five deer and turkey were reported being struck last week.
