Poor road conditions in the northern portion of the county kept deputies quite busy on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 19, into the early morning hours of Friday, Jan.20. In the course of four hours, deputies responded to four separate motor vehicle crashes.

A third crash was reported 20 minutes later on US Hwy. 51 in the Town of Bradley. A northbound vehicle driven by a 41-year-old Illinois man met a patch of ice and lost control, spun into the median, and struck a snowbank before rolling over and coming to a rest on the passenger side.
