At 3:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to a business following a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival, the officer observed a man wearing tactical body armor inside. The officer shined his flashlight at the male who then drew a handgun from the vest. The officer took cover and additional units set up a perimeter to the business. The man eventually exited the business and was found to be the owner. He refused to obey officer’s commands and was forcibly taken into custody. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct and going armed while intoxicated.
At 11:12 a.m., a caller reported she discovered her sister had used her name to sign a lease agreement in Wausau for an apartment. She discovered this after receiving notice of civil lawsuit. The case was referred to Wausau PD as the violation occurred in their jurisdiction.

At 7:43 a.m., a store reported a shoplifter. They had made contact with the male after he left the store with merchandise. The male turned over some merchandise to store employees. The man was arrested for retail theft and bail jumping.
At 11:26 a.m., a business reported finding a gem bag on their property; they suspected maybe drug paraphernalia. The bag was found to be empty and was disposed of. The owner is unknown.
At 11:39 a.m., a caller reported finding a syringe lying on the sidewalk. An officer properly disposed of the item.
At 4:46 p.m., a caller reported his mother’s boyfriend was being physically violent in their residence. The boyfriend was found to be intoxicated and became upset in attempting to get keys to a vehicle from his girlfriend. She would not provide the keys given his intoxicated condition. This led to him pushing her against a wall and twisting her wrist. He was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
At 7:14 p.m., a caller reported they were walking their dog past a residence and heard a female screaming from inside a residence and observed what appeared to be a male pushing a female. Officers arrived and could hear yelling from inside the residence. An officer observed a male holding a female against a wall. It was found the two had been arguing which led to the male throwing food and other items around the residence as well as him banging his own head into a freezer out of anger. The man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
At 11:06 p.m., a caller reported hearing a noise from the basement of the apartment complex he resides at. He investigated and located a female hiding in the basement. The female fled when he alerted her he was calling police. The female could not be located, but officers suspect they know who the female is based on the description provided, and she is known to be homeless, often sleeping at apartment complexes in the basements or hallways.

At 12:08 p.m., an officer responded to a business for a theft complaint. It was reported that two license plates were stolen off of two separate vehicles at the business. The investigation is ongoing.
At 12:23 a.m., officer was dispatched to a business for a theft complaint regarding a stolen catalytic converter from a vehicle.
03-04-2021
At 4:22 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a theft complaint involving a package that was taken from outside a residence. The stolen items consisted of clothing the party had recently ordered on the internet. The stolen items were recovered and will be returned to the owner.
At 4:27 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Probation and Parole office to assist in taking a party into custody. The party was arrested for a probation violation and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.

At 1:16 p.m., a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 4:43 p.m., a caller reported a male stumbling around in the roadway on Pier St. The man was found to be quite intoxicated and was attempting to walk a great distance back home. An officer provided him a ride home to keep him out of the roadways.
At 8:47 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation. The officer could smell the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver turned over a marijuana pipe and a quantity of marijuana wax. The driver was cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia.
At 11:21 p.m., an ambulance was requested outside of a tavern after a caller reported she had fallen in the parking lot. It was found the female had grabbed her friend by the arm as a train was passing by and said, “Watch this” walking toward the train. The friend pulled the female away from the train to prevent her from injuring herself. It was unclear if the female had injured herself from falling or if the train had indeed struck her. The investigation continues, as the entire circumstances are unclear.

At 2:19 a.m., a hotel reported a male was at their business breaking property. Upon officers’ arrival it was reported the man had walked off and was not wearing shoes. An officer located the man behind the business and observed him pick up two bricks. He threw one brick at a window and refused to drop the other brick. The man was taken into custody with the assistance of an electronic control device. He was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting an officer, criminal damage to property, three counts of bail jumping, possession of methamphetamine, and a probation violation. It is believed the man was heavily under the influence of drugs.
At 2:58 a.m., a caller reported a female was in her driveway attempting to steal her vehicle. The female was successfully able to depart as officers were arriving in the area. An officer observed the vehicle leaving the city northbound on County Rd. JJ. Officers attempted to catch up to the vehicle but discontinued after reaching dangerous speeds. The suspect is known and the vehicle was later found crashed in the county. The officer will be requesting a warrant for the suspect for take and operate motor vehicle without owner’s consent and will be cited for reckless driving and hit and run.
At 5:11 p.m., a citizen found a wallet while out walking. An officer was able to make contact with the owner’s mother and turned the wallet over to her to return to her son.

At 4:11 p.m., a vehicle was stopped for unnecessary acceleration and a loud exhaust system. The vehicle was seen by an officer accelerating multiple times making the exhaust be heard from multiple blocks away. The driver was cited for disorderly conduct in a motor vehicle.
At 8:44 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a vandalism complaint at Rainbow Laundry. An ongoing investigation is occurring.
